6.5.2 The role of the chief executive

 

  1. The chief executive is appointed by the governing body, and is responsible for implementing and managing the council’s policies and objectives within the budgetary constraints established by the governing body. The responsibilities of the chief executive directly related to local boards include:

    • implementing the decisions of each local board

    • providing advice to each local board

    • implementing each local board agreement

    • providing administrative and other facilities to the local boards.
